The recent record-setting blizzard affected states across the country, from Texas to Massachusetts to Maine.

Reporter Ryan Leighton captured more than 5,500 still images to produce the time-lapse video below of the storm sweeping through downtown Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

Every 30 seconds for 48 hours a photo was taken from the top floor of Sherman's Bookstore.

The transformer explosion captured in the video occurred on Union Street February 9, knocking out power to about half of Boothbay Harbor for more than 12 hours.
