Boothbay Harbor Sewer District Chris Higgins has announced that all paving regarding the Union Street pump station replacement is finished. Higgins expected no further impacts to traffic on Townsend Avenue and Oak Street, though there may be minimal impacts on Union Street as Sargent Corporation finishes work on the pump station.

“The crew put in a very long day (on Tuesday) and took advantage of the favorable temperatures,” said Higgins. “A very big thank you goes out to them for their efforts.”

Higgins said the planned manhole adjustments and final overlay will occur in the spring when the asphalt plants open.
