Sewer line repair taking place on stretch of Townsend Avenue
Expect parking restrictions and detour
Tue, 01/31/2017 - 7:00am
The Boothbay Harbor Sewer District began replacing a sewer line and adjacent service laterals on Jan. 30. Barring bad weather or unexpected issues, the work should take about a week. The work will extend from the manhole in McKown Square in front of Tigger Leather, 1 Commercial St., to a manhole in front of Coastal Maine Popcorn, 15 Townsend Ave.
Northbound traffic along Townsend Avenue will be detoured around to the By-Way and will exit onto Townsend Avenue via Bridge Street. No parking will be allowed from McKown Square to McClintock Street. Vehicles found there during the project will be towed at the owner's expense.
Please contact the Sewer District at 633-4663 with any questions.
