Shehan-Clifford wedding
Shelly Shehan, daughter of Leila Barter of Boothbay Harbor and the late Herman Reed, and Jeffrey Clifford, son of Claire and Earle Clifford of Boothbay, exchanged their wedding vows at the American Legion Hall in Boothbay Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 with many friends and relatives in attendance.
The officiate was friend and classmate Lynn Gilley Martin of Southport. Gina Drummond, Jeff’s sister, was matron of honor. Shelly’s granddaughter, Sofia Ward of Georgetown, was flower girl. Kenneth Fowler of Edgecomb, a close friend and hunting buddy, was best man.
Shelly’s brother, Bobby Reed (lead guitarist), Brian Gelina and Jeff’s cousin, Tim Sprague, provided music for the reception immediately following the ceremony.
Food was catered by Amy Ronan and chef Sean Ronan, fellow employees at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor. Sean also made the wedding cake.
Wendy Wood helped with decorating the hall, beautifully accented with an outdoor woods theme as Jeff is an ardent outdoorsman and spends much time outside fishing and hunting deer, moose, bear, pheasants, etc. at his and his father’s camp at Upper Enchanted.
Jeff’s main work is in the marine worm industry, plus animal damage control. Shelly is a receptionist/administrative assistant at St. Andrews Village. Shelly and Jeff both graduated from Boothbay Region High School and were boyfriend/girlfriend but drifted apart only to find each other again!
They make their home in Edgecomb, along with their Labrador, Grace, and golden retriever, Ruby.
