Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library
New library website coming soon!
Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library is excited to announce the launch of an updated and revamped website, offering new access to Hoopla! Hoopla is an online platform for streaming and downloading movies, music, comic books, e-books, and audio books (think free Netflix, plus books). Hoopla offers a wide variety of genres, from Dwight Yoakam to Kanye West, and workout videos, kids TV shows, foreign films, DC comic books, popular audio books (like a “Man Called Ove”), and more. Hoopla also has a “Kids Mode” you can turn on to show only kid-appropriate content in your search results. Download the Hoopla app in the Apple & Google app stores to view and download content to your device or phone. You can sign up online after Oct. 1 through the library’s new website at www.bhhlibrary.org (assuming everything goes as planned!); or visit www.hoopladigital.com to sign up now.
On the library’s new website, you’ll be able to easily access your online library account, quickly search the catalog, website, or Download Library, and stay up to date with library events and services; and it’s mobile-ready so can be easily viewed on a phone. We hope you find it easier to discover all of the free and enriching things you have access to through your library.
The library will host an informal “website open house” on Wednesday, Oct. 5 in the Upstairs Community Room at 5:30 p.m. Join us for a snack and to have any of your online-library questions answered. If you have any questions about signing up or using Hoopla, join us on Oct. 5 or call the library at 633-3112.
