Danny Beal was joined by The Boneheads and Janice The Musical Saw Lady at the piano man’s 10th annual Downeast Goodtime Hour & a Half music show at the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor on Aug. 3.
“The evening was a huge hit with both the local crowd and the summer visitor who may have unwittingly wandered in!” said Director Cathy Sherrill.
Beal tantalized in the press release for the show, “a special guest from the far reaches of northern central Maine will be joining us performing music featuring a unique instrument.”
Unique indeed. “The Musical Saw Lady” first played the saw on the Opera House stage 52 years ago and her performance, as Sherrill described it, was “awesome!”
The beloved, unpredictable summer variety show at the Opera House was sponsored by J E. Knight and Griffin Law Offices.
