Boothbay Region Land Trust (BRLT) will host the premier summer event, the Points of View Art Auction, on July 30 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The venue: a beautiful resort on the coast of Maine, the Spruce Point Inn Resort & Spa, located at 88 Grandview Avenue in Boothbay Harbor.

This benefit auction will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music and a variety of art media from local and regional artists.

Over 70 works of art, including paintings, sculptures, jewelry and ceramics have been graciously donated by 60 notable artists, as well as select works from private collections. Among the participating artists are Donald Demers, Sarah Wilde, Brad Betts, Priscilla Alden, AGA Correa & Son, Philippe Villard, Kate Jones, Alison Evans and Leon Vanella. Experienced auctioneers Kaja Veilleux and John Bottero from Thomaston Place Auction Galleries will lead the lively bidding throughout the evening.

There will be a “Meet the Artists” reception the day before the auction from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, at Spruce Point Inn for ticket buyers and others who wish to preview the art. A color catalog featuring all available works of art is available through the land trust office or online at www.bbrlt.org.

Tickets for this event are $75/person. All proceeds benefit the Boothbay Region Land Trust mission to conserve for the public benefit the natural habitat, scenic beauty and working land of the Boothbay Region.
