Dear Editor:

I would like to thank everyone who came out Friday night to enjoy good food and good company while supporting Rebuilding Together at the annual community supper. By the end of the evening, everyone was full and we had raised a little over $1,000, all of which will go towards our May 9 Rebuilding Together day here in the Boothbay region.

Thank you to the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor for allowing us to use its space for this supper.

Also a big thank you to our Rebuilding Together board members and volunteers who cooked the food, set up the dining room, washed all the dishes (by hand!), and put everything back in order at the end. Rebuilding Together couldn’t survive without you.

We are now busy organizing our house teams for May; the house captains are in place and preparing their work orders. Please consider helping us to keep our area residents in safe, warm, and clean homes by either volunteering on May 9 or by sending in a contribution to help with purchasing the required materials. It has been a tough winter and many folks need our help.
