‘Artists’ Choice’ exhibition opens Friday at River Arts

River Arts in Damariscotta is inviting the public to the opening reception for its newest exhibition “Artists’ Choice” Friday, Feb. 27, from 5-7 p.m. The show includes 90 artworks by artists from all over Maine, in a wide variety of media, including sculpture and fine crafts.

Local artists selected for the show are: Carrie Kipfer and James A. Kipfur, Alna; John Butke, Star Perkins and Mark Reilly, Boothbay; Christine Andersen, Bruce Bachelder, Glenda Drum, Jack Gilmore, Jean Harris, Penelope Moody, James Napier, Denise Rankin and Polly Steadman, Damariscotta; Pamela Riml and Sally Smith, East Boothbay; Bob Thomas, Edgecomb; Helen Warner and Carolyn Wiley, Newcastle; David Peterson Wiley, Wiscasset.

Robert Colburn was juror for “Artists’ Choice.” Colburn is the curator and manager of the Bayview Galleries in Brunswick and Camden.

The exhibition will hang until March 26.
