YMCA hosts first ever ‘Aqua-thon’
On Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day, people can share their love of swimming and the YMCA's Dolphin Swim Team by participating in the first ever Aqua-thon.
From 11 a.m. to noon, the Emery Pool will have sponsored swimmers doing laps or aqua jogging. The therapy pool will have swimmers floating, water walking, and treading water (life jackets and noodles permitted).
After noon and to 2 p.m., there will be food, music and a silent auction. There will be a face-painting station and a valentine's photo shoot as well. The silent auction items have been donated by the aquatics staff and friends of the YMCA.
All money raised goes directly to support the YMCA Dolphins.
