The Boothbay Region Elementary School seventh and eighth grade girls basketball teams will play for the Busline League championships after beating their semifinal opponents on Thursday, Jan. 22 at BRES.
The Wildcat seventh grade girls held off a determined Camden team and won, 44-36.
The Wildcat eighth grade team dominated Medomak and went on to win, 47-24. Boothbay led 26-9 at the half and 40-14 after three quarters, as its full court press dismantled Medomak.
The second-ranked BRES seventh graders will host top-ranked Medomak on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at BRES. The top-ranked BRES eighth graders will host second-ranked Oceanside Blue on Saturday at 2:45 p.m.
The BRES eighth grade boys lost at Medomak in a quarterfinal game on Wednesday and the seventh grade boys lost to Medomak in a semifinal game on Thursday.
