Dear Editor:

I would like to publicly thank Sara and Michael Harvey and Jeff Fortier for their thoughtful and sensitive action in requesting the Wiscasset board of selectmen to rename their road Micmac Drive. To honor their ancestors in this manner is a fine tribute indeed.

The selectmen who were present at Tuesday’s meeting are also to be commended for their unanimous agreement in granting this request.
