Michael Hall purchased the former Simmons & Harrington Funeral Home business on Townsend Avenue in Boothbay Harbor from Harold “Sonny” Simmons in 1991. In 1998, Hall built a brand new facility at 975 Wiscasset Road in Boothbay with a dedication of the service area in memory of Sonny’s wife, Gail Pinkham Simmons, for their many years of service to the Boothbay region.

Hall Funeral and Cremation Services has recently updated its branding and service offerings to better reflect the company’s continuing commitment to community service and the changing needs of families during times of grief. The new branding also honors Hall’s deep-rooted tradition of serving families throughout the Midcoast for over 50 years.

The rebranding includes an updated logo and new signage for all Hall locations in Boothbay, Thomaston and Waldoboro. Other changes are designed to focus on customer service and the family experience during times of loss by strengthening the Hall brand promise to “Help Families Begin Healing.”

The new Hall logo features contemporary colors and an updated sailboat image that pays homage to the traditional schooner that has been used in the company branding for over fifty years. The horizon, the ocean and the sailboat graphic also reflect the firm’s Midcoast roots.
