Boothbay approves 2015 municipal appointments
The Boothbay Board of Selectmen unanimously approved the following municipal appointments on July 9 for 2014-15: James Chaousis, town manager, tax collector road commissioner, general assistance director, and public access officer; Bill Kautzmann, addressing officer; Betsy and David Pratt, and Benjamin Rand, animal control officers; John E. O’Donnell III, assessor; Daniel G. Bryer Jr. and Lori Colton, code enforcement officers, plumbing and building inspectors, and health officers.
Dick Spofford, fire chief and town emergency management director, John Barry and Gary Arsenault, assistant fire chiefs; Mike Alley, public works foreman; Peter B. Ripley, harbormaster; Mike Leighton and Bradley Simmons, deputy harbormasters; Bonnie D. Lewis, town clerk; Tracey Hodgdon-Hyson, registrar of voters; Nick Upham, shellfish warden; and Sandra L. Rumery, three-year term on the board of assessment.
Scott Adams, three-year term on board of appeals, Larry Knapp, Patricia Seaward and Nathaniel F. Leonard, three-year terms on the port committee; and Francis McBrearty and Andrew Morley, three-year terms on the planning board.
The following 13 people were nominated to serve on the comprehensive plan committee: Nicholas Barth, Christopher R. Higgins, Charles R. Cunningham, David A. Dudley, Charles E. Fuller, P. Andrew Hamblett, Richard E. Palmer, Nell L. Tharpe, Nathaniel Wing, Jonathan E. Ziegra, Jon Paolillo, John Bertolet and Rosemary Bourette.
