Dept. of Education grades Boothbay region schools
Boothbay region schools have received their grades from the Maine Department of Education. The grades are based on student achievement in reading and math, general growth and progress, the graduation rate and other factors, including New England Common Assessment Program test scores.
Boothbay Region Elementary School and Boothbay Region High School each received a grade of C for the 2013-14 school year. The high school’s grade stayed steady from last year, while the elementary school’s grade dropped from a B for 2012-13.
Edgecomb Eddy Elementary School received an A, as it did in 2012-13, but it wasn’t the only area school to earn that distinction.
Southport Central School also received an A, one grade raised from its B in 2012-13.
