About Sportsmanship
Boothbay Region YMCA
Girl’s Rotary and Boy’s YMCA Basketball Classic
Dear Coaches, Players and Fans,
The Boothbay Region YMCA wants to remind all participants of our tournaments that we take good sportsmanship very seriously. We ask anyone attending the YMCA to follow our core values which are, Respect, Responsibility, Caring and Honesty.
No one attending tournaments should yell negative remarks toward Officials, fans and especially the players. There is a lot of work put into these tournaments by The Staff at Boothbay YMCA as well as by the teams that participate and it is not appropriate for spectators and other tournament participants to ruin this experience for anyone. This tournament is for the players to learn and develop skills related to basketball and they don’t need to be distracted by disrespectful players, coaches and fans.
We hope that our tournament is a positive experience for the players and they will remember it for years to come. If we have individuals who feel that they want to ruin this experience for others, these individuals will be asked to leave and will not be welcome back for the remainder of the tournament.
Please enjoy all that our YMCA and community has to offer you while attending this basketball tournament and we hope your experience is a good one.
Thank you
Boothbay Region YMCA
