Sewer district starts salvage operation
Boothbay Harbor Sewer District has begun salvaging any useable equipment following the Feb. 10 fire that destroyed the district's maintenance garage. So far, this has consisted of tools that could withstand the heat damage.
Superintendent David Pratt said the cause of the fire was likely electrical. They were still waiting for the official report from the State Fire Marshal.
Trustees also heard an investment portfolio presentation from Wealth Relationship Manager Mike Genovese and Treasury Management Sales Advisor Joshua Adams of Camden National Wealth Management. According to Genovese, a third of their clientele is composed of municipalities, organizations and charities, which gives them “expertise” in working with entities like the sewer district.
The district’s next meeting will be with its current banking partner, First National Bank.
