This year's nomination papers for Boothbay Harbor public office are due March 3. The town has seven openings for officers on six committees. 

The following three-year seats are open due to expiring terms for listed members:    

     Board of Selectmen and Overseers of the Poor: Alyssa Allen and Michael Tomko  

     Community School District School Committee: Peggy Splaine  

     Community School District Board of Trustees: Ronnie Campbell  

     Boothbay Region Water District Board of Trustees: Merritt Blakeslee  

     Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Cemetery District Trustee: Patricia Minerich  

     Boothbay Harbor Sewer District Board of Trustees: Deryl Kipp  

According to the Boothbay Harbor Town Clerk, by the morning of Feb. 25, nomination papers for the open seats have been taken out but none have been submitted. Nomination papers must be returned to the town clerk by 4:30 p.m. March 3. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 and registered to vote in Boothbay Harbor.  

Voting for the officers will be held at the Boothbay Harbor Fire Station May 2 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The town meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. May 3 at the fire station, where the officers will be sworn in.
