The Boothbay Region High School cheerleading team will be competing at Augusta Civic Center on Saturday, Jan. 18 in the Mountain Valley Conference, Western Maine Conference and Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Cheering Championships.

Coach Michelle Barter’s BRHS team is scheduled to perform its five-minute routine at 12:12 p.m. Presentation of awards begins at 1:45 p.m. Besides BRHS, other MVC teams competing include Monmouth, Dirigo, Spruce Mountain, Mt. Valley, Lisbon and Madison.

Admission is $5 per person.

BRHS will also compete in the Class C Regional Competition on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Class C North/South competitions will begin at 12:30 p.m. with awards at 3:45 p.m. The top eight teams from each class advance to the State Cheering Championships on Feb. 8 at Augusta Civic Center.
