The Boothbay Region High School boys varsity basketball team lost in overtime, 54-52, to the Wayflete Flyers in Portland on Saturday night, Dec. 21.

The loss dropped Boothbay's record to 2-4 going into the Christmas break. The Flyers improved to 3-2.

Leading Waynflete were J.J. Carlo with 15 points and Jed Alsup with 11.

Maddox Cusumano led Boothbay with 15 points, while Peyton Barter and Simon Bates each scored 12.

The Seahawks' next schedule game is Dec. 27 at Traip Academy (3-3) in Kittery.
