Down by nine at halftime, the Boothbay Region High School boys basketball team soared back in the second half to defeat the Sacopee Valley Hawks, 56-53, at Porter Memorial Gym, BRHS on Friday night, Dec. 13.

"We had to completely change our initial game plan and extended pressure full court, which is what gave us a chance to win," said Seahawks Head Coach Dan Hallinan.

Leading scorers for the Seahawks were Simeon Bates with 20 and Tyson French with 18. Also scoring in double figures was Maddox Cusumano with 10.

The win improved Boothbay's record to 2-1. Sacopee fell to 0-3.

The Seahawks host the Mt. Abram Roadrunners (2-0) today at 2:30 p.m.
