The Boothbay Region Seahawk boys varsity basketball team won their first game of the season (1-1), defeating the Lisbon Greyhounds (0-3) in Lisbon, 53-33, on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Senior Tyson French led the Seahawks with 22 points. Junior Simeon Bates had eight points and senior Braden Davis connected on two 3-pointers.

The Seahawks have two home games coming up. On Friday, Dec. 13, Boothbay will host Sacopee Valley at 6:30 p.m. and a make-up game from Dec. 9 is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 14 at 2:30 p.m. against Mt. Abram.
