Southport Memorial Library hosts holiday food drive
The Southport Memorial Library is hosting a food drive to benefit the Boothbay Region Food Pantry. Food can be dropped off Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; the librarians will collect it and will deliver it to the pantry. There will be a box inside the library and out on the bench for drop offs. The food pantry has had very high demand this year, and every little bit helps!
The Food Pantry’s highest priorities are canned fish and meats, peanut butter, jelly/jam, condiments, cooking oil, coffee, hot and cold cereal, pasta and sauce, toiletries, and paper goods like toilet paper and paper towels. Please be sure that the items have not passed their expiration date and that everything is non-perishable and nutritious.
Thanks, in advance, to the Southport community for your generosity! Pick up your books and drop off a can! See you soon!
