Cameron gets it
Dear Editor:
There are multiple challenges facing everyday Mainers: Healthcare, housing, and the environment all impact our economy.
In her first term as State Senator, Cameron Reny successfully addressed these issues by working across the aisle. Five of her bills were passed.
Nearly one out of three Mainers skipped doses of medication, cut pills in half or didn't fill their prescriptions. Cameron presented LD 1829. A bill to reduce prescription drug costs.
Affordable housing is a necessity. Cameron sponsored LD 724 which passed. This bill expands workforce housing in rural Maine by funding Maine State Housing Authority.
Cameron supports legislation to make it more accessible for people to age in place. Also, to prioritize legislation to help fixed and low income families afford utilities and make improvements to unsafe housing conditions.
There is an urgent need to protect Maine's environment. Specifically, to prevent irreparable damage to our fisheries, agriculture, and tourism.
As a member of the Coastal and Marine Working Group, Cameron understands this issue demands immediate attention if we want to preserve our industries and environment.
Cameron is a life-long Lincoln County resident from a working class family. She understands first-hand the challenges families experience.
If you want a dedicated, determined, and diligent advocate who will fight to attain a better life for you, your family, and your neighbors, Vote for Cameron Reny.
Cameron gets it because she lives it.
