Can’t vote Republican
Dear Editor:
I grew up in the Philadelphia area, then moved to Iowa with my family and children in 1969. While living there I was president of the Visiting Nurse Association whose nurses made visits to low income patients. I was the president of Planned Parenthood of Keokuk, and of Planned Parenthood of Southeast Iowa. We provided health care to both men and women. I was also president of the Lee County Republican Women. There is no way that I can vote as a Republican!
That candidate is a convicted felon, one that did away with Roe V. Wade, who won’t let women make decisions concerning their lives. Back in 1964 I took a 12-year-old girl through delivery, a child giving birth to a child. I also had a 15-year-old girl come in for her six-week check-up pregnant again! None of this would have happened if we had Roe V Wade and pregnancy terminations or abortions available.
I am happy to join Republicans for the Harris-Walz ticket and hope more people realize how destructive the other candidate is to the future of America!
