Dear Editor:

Special Operations Transition Foundation (SOTF) aids special operations military men and women transition into jobs and communities following their service.

Recently a group of participants visited Boothbay Harbor for an awareness and support campaign. Six participants, SEALs, Rangers, Air Force, etc., assisted me on my storm-damaged property. Within two hours, they cleared trees, stumps, wood and rocks that were lodged under my house. The whole process was made easy due to their training and cheerful community attitude. I am most grateful to have the job done and to have met such impressive young men.

These men are doing well in their preparations for the next step. They each have ideas for professions, education and community. I wish them well and thank them for their service.
