All Southport residents and homeowners are invited to a Climate Action Team workshop Thursday, Aug. 29 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Southport Town Hall. Refreshments will be provided.

The team will report on the its climate action efforts, including the grants applied for, the status of initial efforts to enhance communication and emergency evacuation plans, and evaluate climate vulnerabilities.

Discussion will also include plans related to improvements to the road and marsh areas at the Southport beach.
