Dear Editor:

There is a prominent sign which most people leaving the Harbor are forced to see, referring to “These United States.”

I guess the owner of that sign was a poor student in kindergarten, when the rest of us learned the Pledge of Allegiance, in which we stated our loyalty “to the flag of The United States of America.”

Maybe an updated sign is in order?
