Dear Editor:

Late summer, the residents of East Boothbay were notified that the post office was being moved to Boothbay Harbor. No reason was given, not whether it was temporary or permanent.

We need ongoing information on the status of our post office.

It is not convenient for our residents, especially with all the construction. What used to be a five-minute jaunt to our post office is now 40 minutes. We no longer have easy access to our boxes, our friends, etc.

Let’s hear from others in East Boothbay on these thoughts.
