The William S. Prescott company of Waldoboro, working with volunteers of Eastside Waterfront Park in Boothbay Harbor, loaded 13 new floats of various sizes, along with ramps, in the water off the Atlantic Avenue park Thursday, Sept. 21, according to John O’Connell, president of Boothbay Harbor Waterfront Preservation.
“These floats were the direct replacements of the floats previously placed in the water,” said O’Connell.
Volunteers for the work included Tim Brown, Randy Durgan, Norman Pierce, Chris Coppock and Chuck Wilts.
O’Connell said the work to put the floats in position was expected to begin on Saturday, Sept. 23.
