Thanks from BRSAF
Dear Editor:
Dear community members, the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary defines generous as: “liberal in giving, marked by abundance or ample proportions.” Boothbay Region Student Aid Fund (BRSAF) would like to take this opportunity to thank this “generous” region of individuals, community organizations and businesses for believing in our youth and in the importance of higher education, be it a university, a community college, a technical school, a trade school, a certificate program or a graduate program. Thank you all for contributing so generously to BRSAF’s annual campaign with capital gifts to established named funds and to growth in its invested funds.
This year BRSAF gave 59 awards totaling $465,000. We can all feel proud of what we have accomplished by coming together as a community to make such an impact on our graduates.
In the coming months, Boothbay Region Student Aid Fund looks forward to sharing more about how the region’s generosity has influenced our Boothbay Region High School graduates., but recent testimonials from graduates of Boothbay Region High School put your gifts into perspective;
“…Your grants are one of the only reasons I can go to college and be the only person in my family to graduate from college. I thank you once again for giving me this opportunity and continuing to help kids in need just like me.”
“…Thank you so much for helping me with the cost of my education over the past four years. I recently graduated from U Maine in May…”
With sincere gratitude.
