Gimbel, Osborn win Boothbay Harbor selectmen’s seats
Mark Osborn and Mark Gimbel won the two contested seats in the Boothbay Harbor selectmen’s elections May 5. The results, certified by moderator Nicholas Upham, showed Osborn with 374 votes and Gimbel with 323. Incumbent Denise Griffin lost with 226 votes.
Jenessa Garrett won the school committee seat with 316 votes, beating Roy Tholl, who received 154. Darrell Gudroe, with 420 votes, was elected as a trustee of Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Consolidated School District. He ran unopposed.
Susann Hochstein was reelected as a Boothbay Harbor Cemetery District trustee with 443 votes, David Tibbetts was reelected as a Boothbay Region Water District (BRWD) trustee with 467 votes and Russell Hoffman was reelected as a Boothbay Harbor Sewer District trustee with 483. All three seats were uncontested.
Article 3 passed with 337 yes votes and 151 no’s. The article sought voter authorization to increase BRWD’s debt limit to $19 million.
