Progress of Jameson Brooks
Dear Editor:
A big thank you for all the prayers to heal Jameson Brooks. There are prayers from far and near! And miracles are happening! It has been overwhelming to hear from so many!
Jameson was born with brain cancer. It was not found until he was 4 months old at Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland. The doctors went in to remove it but could not. He was not expected to live!
But a miracle happened and he made it through. He has been through many treatments and operations. He is blind and has had other problems. He hears and has been walking with his stick, loves music and wants to take piano lessons. He has been going to school with special ed. He has participated in Special Olympics and done really well!
However recently things have not been going so well lately. For about three weeks Jameson has been back in at Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital with an operation to remove some of the tumor which had grown a little. And another for his shunt when it was blocked. Life Flight air lifted him back to the hospital! What a lifesaver they are.
The doctors there are wonderful at performing their miracles.
His Mom and Dad have been with him all the time! They are having a very hard time financially. Many people have asked what can they do to help. He has had an account at the First National Bank to help him. His family needs help with bills, house payments, and going to doctor visits among many others, You would like to donate to the Jameson Brooks Fund at the First National Bank in Boothbay Harbor or mail to Jameson Brooks Fund, P.O. Box 493, Boothbay Harbor ME 04538.
Jameson turned 11 years old on Tuesday, July 26. If you would like to send him a card addressed to 15 West Side Road, Trevett, ME 04571. He will still be in the hospital. He would love to have cards and prayers! The prayers are the biggest help from you all. We are so blessed!
Thank you from the family.
