A new bank plans on opening in June at the former Key Bank location at the Meadow Mall, Townsend Avenue, Boothbay Harbor. Bangor Savings Bank officials confirmed the news Jan. 21 to the Boothbay Register. Bangor Savings Bank is remodeling the former Key Bank office.

“We are looking to expand our support to customers and the community by opening a new branch. We feel this is a convenient location,” Community Relations Manager Jaclyn Fish said. “The Boothbay Harbor branch will offer a full range of financial services including drive thru banking.”  

The bank will offer more details such as hours and days of operation when they become available, according to Fish. In February, the bank will celebrate 170 years in operation. The bank has branches in Maine and New Hampshire. The three closest locations to Boothbay Harbor are in Damariscotta, New Harbor and Brunswick.
