Boothbay Democratic Committee seeks members
The Boothbay Democratic Committee needs members to plan activities and discuss important information to share with town Democrats. Lately we've been having Zoom meetings due to Covid and hope to meet in person outside in the warmer weather.
We would love to have more people share their ideas and concerns. This is a crucial year here in Boothbay, in Maine and nationally. Holly Stover is up for re-election and Paul LePage is running for governor again. The national midterms will decide the fate of all the work that Biden has accomplished and all he is trying to do. We need Democrats active and working together to keep our democracy working.
I'm honestly telling you that it's not very time-consuming and you get to connect with local Dems. Please join us at our next Zoom meeting, Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. There will be no in-person Democratic caucuses in Maine, due to the restrictions of Covid for in-person gatherings. We will elect our state delegates and alternates through an online voting system in early March. We will provide more details about the caucus procedures and activities for 2022 at our Zoom meeting. These include outreach, delegates, election clerks, and volunteers for letters to the editor. Send an email to paulamragsdale@gmail.com so she can send you the Zoom link. Come meet some fellow Democrats!
We're not asking you to volunteer, though that would be great! We are reaching out so we can bring information to all Democrats in Boothbay. If you are a Democrat and want to stay up-to-date with the latest state and local elections, please send your name and email to froser2@gmail.com. You will be added to our information list.
