St. Columba’s continues online worship

Tue, 10/13/2020 - 8:00am

During the pandemic and for the protection of all as daily COVID-19 infection rates rise, St. Columba's Church has moved our prayers online and at home. God is with us wherever we are.

For now, our well-loved shake-shingle church building remains temporarily closed per robust adherence to CDC research and guidelines. We at St. Columba’s continue to be active mask wearers in the Boothbay community, maintaining physical distancing, avoiding group gatherings, making phone calls, washing our hands, dropping off care packages on porches, making window visits, and offering daily prayers online.

Our mission at St. Columba’s is to provide safe harbor in Christ. We're open to new ways of being God's loving church during the pandemic. We are loving our neighbors in ways that shield the vulnerable ones in our community from the spread of a highly contagious and deadly virus.

This new Way of Love includes:

--Daily updates and prayers posted on Facebook: St. Columba's Episcopal Church + Boothbay Harbor, ME

--Weekly @St.C's prayer podcasts, PDFs, and videos posted on our church website: stcolumbasmaine.org/media/

--Our @St.C's podcasts (we already have posted 30 episodes since March!) are searchable and followed on all podcast platforms, including Spotify, Apple, Google, Stitcher etc.

--Our weekly @St.C's e-newsletter is sent out on Saturdays: Call the church office at 633-6313 and leave a message if you would like to subscribe. Or contact us at stcolumbasmaine@gmail.com

The Episcopal Church, Washington National Cathedral, and the Episcopal Diocese of Maine offer an abundance of daily prayers, worship, and online meditations. Links are posted daily.
