June 17 update: 2,836 statewide COVID-19 cases

AUGUSTA — The Maine CDC has updated its list, June 17, of COVID-19 cases in the state of Maine.

Today, there are 2,836 confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases across the state, including 2,509 confirmed cases and 327 probable cases. 

Across the state, 2,275 people have recovered from COVID-19, while 102 people have died. The number of people hospitalized, at some point during their illness, across the state stands at 323.

Looking at hospital COVID-19 data, there are currently 27 hospitalized, including 10 in critical care and five on a ventilator. There are 138 available critical care beds out of 386 total and 254 available ventilators of 319 total and 441 alternative ventilators. 

By sex, 1,445 females have tested positive in the state and 1,381 males have tested positive.

The below cases represents the number of full-time Maine residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Maine CDC. 

Each day, the Maine CDC updates its COVID-19 data on its website with the latest coronavirus numbers from across the state. Today’s update came at 12:30 p.m.
