School boards to vote on continuing distance learning until school year ends
AOS 98 Superintendent of Schools Dr. Keith Laser has announced he will be meeting with the AOS 98 school boards via Zoom this week to consider the following:
a. The Superintendent recommends that only distance learning opportunities be offered to students for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year and ending May 29.
b. The Superintendent recommends that school year instructional faculty and staff, continue working, under the direction of the school principal, until Friday, June 12.
c. The Superintendent recommends that food services will continue as is provided: Georgetown will be Thursday the 16th at 1 p.m.; Southport will be Thursday the 16th at 2:30 p.m.; Edgecomb will be Friday the 17th at 1 p.m.; and Boothbay Region will be Friday the 17th at 2:30 p.m.
Please see the school board website for more information. The Southport meeting will be held on Thursday, April 16 at 2:30 p.m. The Edgecomb meeting will be held on Friday, April 17 at 1 p.m. The Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor CSD meeting will be held on Friday, April 17 at 2:30 p.m.
