Mill Cove
It's interesting to see the calm in such a busy place.
Mill Cove tends to be pretty quiet most of the time. Not many boats running in and out, even in summer's busy season, but there's plenty to do.
When you see lobster traps stacked around on shore, it's not difficult to imagine the amount of time it will take to load, bait and distribute them, even though there is no one present at this moment. The activity will come, as it always does.
Much effort is being stored up somewhere.
The same goes for the Sherman Zwicker. There she sits, all closed over, tied up to the dock at Wotton's, waiting to be uncovered and propelled yet again over Maine waters for all to admire and visit.
Doesn't look very busy at the moment, but it won't be long.
There is always business for the eye in Mill Cove. With views all the way to Burnt Island Lighthouse and beyond, who needs a cell phone for distractions?
Navigating the curve at the end of the cove, across from Sue Bogart's place, regularly challenges my attention. The 25 mph zone is still too fast.
Watch out for the elver hunters!
