Relax, renew, rejoice: Stillwater Women’s Wellness Massage, LLC opens

Tue, 08/27/2019 - 4:30pm

A new Boothbay business, Stillwater Women’s Wellness Massage, LLC., conveniently located on Route 27, Boothbay, will offer massage therapy and hydrotherapy services to women and teens by appointment for the purpose of relaxation and wellness maintenance. Caroline Roberts is a local southerner from Tennessee and Florida. With her Boothbay native husband, Michael Roberts, private manager of local properties and regional manager for Vacasa Property Management, and their two teens, John and Hannah, Caroline has been a Boothbay local for 15 years. She is an alumna of Liberty University, Virginia, where she earned her bachelor of science in communication, minor in psychology, and recently, an alumna of Down East School of Massage, Waldoboro, Maine, where she excelled at bodywork and human life sciences.

Her years of experience as a certified nursing assistant helped influence her pursuit of her formal massage therapy training. She is insured and certified in CPR and First Aid, is a state licensed massage therapist, and has additional training in Zero Balancing and Craniosacral techniques. She is currently pursuing training in energy field balancing and flow through Healing Touch and hopes to pursue the sacred Hawaiian art of Lomi Lomi soon.

Her art of healing relaxation, based on science, is an eclectic blend of gentle techniques that are uniquely tailored to each client's personal needs and preferences. Her favorite techniques are sedating techniques, light, long and flowing strokes with smooth transitions. She fosters the desire to connect on a spiritual level through her art of therapeutic touch and personal prayer for each client. Her loving intent is to lull her clients into the scientifically supported “Relaxation Response,” her specialty and grad paper topic, in fact, enabling the body and mind to activate its innate capacity for healing and restoration.

Roberts says, “Science reveals that the human ‘Relaxation Response,’ an innate gift of healing, is necessary for optimal wellness, and aids in the body's capacity to tolerate distress. Through massage therapy, we can elicit the restorative benefits of the ‘Relaxation Response.’ Western medicine is finally catching up to what ancient cultures have known for millennia with many physicians now prescribing massage therapy, and other complementary therapies, as a natural first step rather than a last resort. Education is imperative. It's simply not a luxury we can afford to ignore or dismiss; it is revealed as a necessity for human well-being and should be elicited regularly.”

Stillwater Women's Wellness Massage, LLC. is the culmination of a dream and years of hard work, and is inspired by her life's closest relationships with God and family. She is looking forward to networking with other like-minded healing professionals and businesses in the community. She welcomes women, teens, and girls, to experience the transformative power of the gift of loving touch. Her personal motto is “Pursue peace, gain wisdom and understanding, above all...love.” Not too different is her work motto, “Relax, Renew, Rejoice.”

Stillwater services are offered in a variety of options such as a Target Focus Massage in a 30 minute session, a 45-minute Starfish Wish Massage, Relaxation and Swedish massage in 60- or 90-minute sessions.
