Hunter safety course offered
Instructors from the Department of Inland Fisheries Wildlife will be conducting a Hunter Safety course on April 11, 23, and 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Boothbay Region Adult Ed. Proper gun and rifle handling and procedure will be taught in this certified course as well as survival and first aid. Students are provided with a course handbook, outdoor survival information, and additional handouts.
Recommended for first time hunters (over 10 years old) if they are going to be applying for a hunting license. A certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion. Note: This course is three mandatory classroom days combined home study. The fee is $10.
