Dear Editor:

On behalf of the Boothbay Region Food Pantry, I would like to thank Boothbay Harbor's postmaster, Ashley Brown Holloway, for leading the large community effort that successfully encouraged collection of a lot of food for the food pantry on May 11. The amount of food collected and delivered to the food pantry was 827 pounds.

The generosity of people in the Boothbay region has become something of a legend hereabouts. You did it again! Thank you. We directors and volunteers of the food pantry are immensely grateful. We do a lot for people in our community whose access to food is not assured, and we could not do it without the overflow of generosity shown over and over by our friends in the Boothbay community. Deep thanks, once again, are due and hereby expressed.
