The Boothbay Farmers Market starts its season on the Boothbay Common on Thursday, May 17. They will set up on the Common from 9 a.m. to noon every Thursday through Oct. 4.
Dan Sortwell of Big Barn Coffee, market president, said, “We have 31 members, including Wiggly Bridge Distillery, a new vendor and the first producer of bourbon whiskey in Maine. Our local business members include Boothbay Craft Brewery & Tavern in Boothbay and two members in Boothbay Harbor --- Mana Medicinals creates herbal remedies and Wild Island creates non-dairy/vegan ice creams and salad dressings.”
The Boothbay Farmers Market is a community of local farmers, fishermen and artisans. These vendors bring their finest quality food, fiber, and flowers to each Thursday morning market. Musicians perform on busy market days. Boothbay Farmers Market has been on Boothbay Town Common for the past 15 years and has become a popular summer attraction.
