Used Book Store closing Nov. 26
Friends of the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library announce the Used Book Store will close for the year on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 4:30 p.m. So, come in and stock up for the holidays and the winter soon! Call the library for hours: 207-633-3112.
The bookstore will stop accepting books as of Nov. 30 and on Dec. 1; all porch books will be donated to the Salvation Army.
If you have the space (and patience) to save your donations until spring, we hope you will bring us your gently used books, DVDs and CDs. Old textbooks, dictionaries and encyclopedias and anything soiled or musty must, sadly be consigned to the Boothbay Region Refuse Disposal District.
Should you need to clear out your gently used items over the winter, they can be taken to the Big Hearted Books bin at the Yellow Front grocery store at 4 Coastal Market Drive in Damariscotta.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed to another successful year. Bookstore shelvers wish to thank Eric Matchett in particular for his help in moving a ton of books this fall. To those interested in helping out next spring, please save up your energy we will be calling on you for the use of your brains and brawn.
The Friends also wish to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving.
