Vote for Biovation!
“There is something for Boothbay to cheer about,” said Karem Durdag the CEO of Biovation. His Boothbay based manufacturing company is in the running for the Gorham Savings Bank business competition, and they need your help.
Biovation has made it to the semifinals, and if they can get enough votes by March 27, they will move to the final round of the LaunchPad contest.
To vote for Biovation, follow this link. Voting ends on March 27 at 11:59 p.m.
The five finalists who receive the most votes will get to pitch their idea to a panel of judges on April 10. The winning finalist will be awarded $30,000, which further funds research and development, and helps local business ideas take flight.
Biovation is a local company that invented such innovations as the BootSAK (Boot Superabsorbent Kit). BootSAK dries the inside of wet boots in a matter of hours, which could provide relief to U.S. Marines in wet weather combat missions.
According to a press release, Biovation is Boothbay's tech manufacturing start-up, which is passionate about demonstrating that a rural state like Maine can make things that have national, global significance.
