Southport is looking for a new municipal attorney as are Boothbay and Edgecomb. Portland law firm Jensen Baird has notified all three it is no longer serving municipal clients. Southport selectmen agreed April 9 to seek from Maine Municipal Association a list of potential replacements. 

In other action, selectmen renewed an agreement with Sunrise Ecologic President Shri Verrill to continue in her search for more state and federal funding for the Southport Climate Action Committee's beach restoration project.

Selectmen approved the Friends of Southport Historical Committee to rent the town hall for an Aug. 11 discussion.
