Cianbro Corporation will be closing the Southport Swing Bridge on Route 27 between Boothbay Harbor and Southport Island during the hours of 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. for the next two weeks. The closure will only take place during week nights.

The first closure will begin at 11 p.m. on Monday, March 24 and remain in effect until 4 a.m. the following day.  Similar closures will occur the nights of March 25, 26, 27, 28 and 31 and April 1, 2, 3 and 4.

With the exception of emergency services, traffic will not be allowed onto or off Southport Island via the swing bridge during these closure periods. Please plan your travel accordingly.
