2019 marks the third year of the Boothbay region’s alkaline battery recycling program. Over 900 pounds of batteries have been sent to the recycling facility during the year. The battery recycling program has been functioning thanks to the Boothbay Civic Association’s contributions totaling $852 in the past twelve months. There is a collection can for the batteries at the Boothbay Region Recycling Center.
