Wilson Chapel’s 100th Year: Rev. Edward Wynne on Aug. 13
The Rev. Edward J. Wynne Jr. will lead the service at the Wilson Memorial Chapel on Ocean Point this Sunday, Aug. 13. The service is at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome. This year the chapel celebrates its 100th year! Harpist Rhiannon Ramsey-Brimberg will be the musician.
Rev. Wynne is a retired clergy member of the Greater New Jersey Conference of The United Methodist Church and made his home in Damariscotta for the past 18 years with his wife, Bonnie, and his sister, Janet. Last May they moved to an Independent Apartment in the Lincoln Home in Newcastle. He chairs the Spiritual Care Committee on the Miles Campus of Lincoln Health, and serves on the Curriculum Committee of the Coastal Senior College. He is a trustee emeritus of Drew University, Madison, New Jersey.
His hobbies include watch and clock collecting and also amateur radio. He holds a BS in chemical engineering from Northeastern University, an MDiv from Drew Theological School, and a Ph.D. from New York University. Rev. Wynne and his wife, Bonnie, just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in June.
