Henry Rowe’s legs can’t take it anymore.

Rowe, at “80-plus” years old, is a member of the Woodchucks group in Boothbay, which cuts and splits firewood for the needy, and he’s in need of some shin guards.

“Having shin guards will help protect my legs when I’m splitting the wood,” said Rowe, who is a diabetic.

Rowe said he’d appreciate a donation of shin guards in any condition.

“They can be dirty, cracked or dented ... just as long as they protect my legs,” said Rowe.
